West Cork Distillers (WCD) was founded in 2003 by childhood friends, John O’Connell, Ger McCarthy and Denis McCarthy. From humble beginnings, WCD now operates out of a 12-acre site in Skibbereen, West Cork. The distillation capacity has increased to 4 million litres per annum with over 100 people employed. Their mission is to grow globally but maintain our West Cork heritage.

Charring is an age-old method for invigorating barrels to intensify the taste.
